Sources, Sinks and Solutions for Impacts of Plastics on Coastal Communities in Viet Nam

Human rights abuses in seafood supply chains have intensified scrutiny of global fisheries, highlighting States’ obligations under international law and the limits of private certification schemes. This review shows that international human rights law applies to fishers, placing primary responsibility on States, while calling for transformative, worker-centered, and collaborative approaches to ensure a sustainable and ethical seafood future.
